1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and DPI Slowdown ("we", "us"), the maker of the DPI Slowdown program ("the software"). By ticking the box and selecting "Accept and continue", or by buying a subscription, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
2. What the software does
The software lowers your mouse sensitivity while the pointer is near a colour you choose. It is a tool for single-player and offline games, for accessibility, and for precise work on the desktop.
3. Your licence
While your subscription is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software on the number of computers your licence key allows. The software is licensed to you, not sold. We keep all rights in it.
4. Where you may use it
- Single-player and offline shooter games.
- As an accessibility aid, if small and precise mouse movements are difficult for you.
- Precise work in design, photo, drawing and other desktop programs.
5. Where you may not use it
You must not use the software, or help anyone else use it:
- In any online multiplayer or competitive game, ranked or unranked.
- In aim trainers such as KovaaK's and Aim Lab, or anywhere else, whenever your scores are sent to an online leaderboard or benchmark that other people compete on.
- In any game, tournament, league or service whose rules forbid software that changes or assists mouse input.
- Together with any attempt to hide it from, disable or get around anti-cheat software.
Whether a game allows the software is your responsibility to check before you use it. If you are unsure, do not use it there.
6. Other restrictions
You must not share, sell, rent or publish your licence key; copy or redistribute the software; reverse engineer, modify or remove its licence check, except where the law gives you that right; or present the software as approved by any game publisher.
7. Free trial, subscription and payment
You can try the software free of charge for 2 days from the moment you start the trial. No payment details are needed. The trial is for one use per person and per computer; you must not reset or extend it. When it ends, the software stops working until you subscribe.
The software is sold as a recurring subscription. Payments are handled by our reseller, Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record for your purchase. Your subscription renews automatically at the price shown at checkout until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt email; the software keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for and then stops.
8. Refunds
You can get a full refund of your first payment if you ask within 14 days of buying. This is offered once per customer: it does not apply if you have subscribed or been refunded before. Renewal payments are not refundable; cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country, including any right of withdrawal, are not affected by these terms. The refund policy on our website explains how to ask.
9. Breaking these terms
If we have good reason to believe you have broken section 5 or 6, we may disable your licence key immediately and without a refund, and refuse future purchases.
10. Bans and other consequences are yours
We are not responsible for account bans, suspensions, lost rankings, lost items or any other action a game publisher, platform or tournament takes against you because of how you used the software.
11. Data and privacy
To check your subscription, the software sends your licence key and your computer's name to Lemon Squeezy when you activate it and each time it starts. It stores your licence key and the fact that you accepted these terms in a file on your computer. The software reads screen colours near your pointer in order to work; this happens on your computer only and is never recorded or sent anywhere. Our privacy policy on the website has the details.
12. No warranty
The software is provided "as is". We do not promise that it will be free of errors, work with every mouse, game or version of Windows, or improve your aim.
13. Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with the software is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, the software will ask you to accept the new version before you continue. If you do not accept it, you can cancel your subscription.
15. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.
